"We must be the change we want to see in the world"
Ghandi

Why does Megan like this phrase so much?
By Georgina González Sandoval

Well first, let me tell you something about her, and then you can answer this by yourself. Megan was born in New Zealand, and at the age of one month moved to Vancouver, so she grew up in Nanaimo, and the reason she stays here is just because she likes it. She knew about EF, because her sister works at EF also, but in S a n Francisco. She likes teaching foreign students, because she can learn lots of things from them. She studied Geography because she thinks its very complete. It’s all about the Earth, the Globe and it also has Social, Political and Environmental sections. She would like to work on her career in the future, but now she finds it very fulfilling to teach English. When she was 13 years old, she went with her family (which she described as very funny) to France. They bought some ice cream. The problem was that they didn’t have spoons to eat with; only knives. So they all, ate the ice cream with knives, and of course all the people around were staring at them. She went to Australia on a University exchange. When she came back was the period, that she thinks made her the woman she is now, because she realized what she wanted in life. It was time for her to put in practice all the things she learned in Oz.

She describes herself as an easygoing, outgoing, happy and friendly person. I agree with her, I would describe her in exactly the same way. In her free time she likes camping, hiking, visiting friends and learning Spanish. Her dreams are to be a world traveller, to visit all the countries and understand their cultures. If you think this is crazy, It’s not. Anything you want is possible, so why not dream about visiting ALL OF THE COUNTRIES I THE WORLD? Her fears are failing in life, and getting lost in the middle of the forest. I think this is funny, but I also have the same fear. In 25 years she would like to have a family, and live in a small town near the ocean. Sound like she likes her life to be full and content. So now that you know a little bit of her, you can see, that she is a very caring person. She cares about the world, others and also herself, so if you have her as a teacher, try to learn as much as you can from her, because she has lots of things to share with you.
